April 29 update: Nevada County COVID-19 cases rise by 12

April 29

County officials recorded 12 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, making the new total case count 4,582.

Western county has reached 3,341 cases, and eastern county has 1,241. There were 108 active cases on Thursday, unchanged from the day before. There were 4,399 people released from isolation, and 75 deaths.

Everyone 16 and older in Nevada County is now eligible to receive the vaccine. The county has given 69,850 doses as of Thursday.

 

 

Cases have continued to climb in the county. There were 4,272 on March 30. That rose to 4,361 by April 6, and 4,418 by April 13. there were 4,489 on April 20.

Two people were hospitalized locally Thursday with COVID-19.

 
 

 

Of the 98,580 tests performed locally, 4.6% of people have tested positive.

Nationwide, there were 32,031,068 total cases, and 571,297 deaths, the CDC stated.

 

April 28

Fourteen new coronavirus cases were counted on Wednesday, bringing Nevada County’s new total to 4,570.

Western county has reached 3,334 cases, and eastern county has 1,236. There were 108 active cases on Wednesday, an increase of two from the prior day. There were 4,387 people released from isolation, and 75 deaths.

Everyone 16 and older in Nevada County is now eligible to receive the vaccine. The county has given 69,371 doses as of Wednesday.

Everyone 16 and older in Nevada County is now eligible to receive the vaccine. The county has given 68,670 doses as of Monday.

New coronavirus cases leaped by 35 over the weekend, bringing the county’s new total to 4,547.

Western county has reached 3,311 cases, and eastern county has 1,236. There were 104 active cases on Monday, 16 more than Friday. There were 4,368 people released from isolation, and 75 deaths.

Everyone 16 and older in Nevada County is now eligible to receive the vaccine. The county has given 67,966 doses as of Monday.

Nationwide, there were 31,730,950 total cases, and 567,352 deaths, the CDC stated.

April 22

Nevada County saw another three COVID-19 cases on Thursday, bringing its total number of recorded cases to 4,505.

Western county has reached 3,281 cases, and eastern county has 1,224. There were 88 active cases on Thursday, a drop of eight from the day before. There were 4,342 people released from isolation, and 75 deaths.

Everyone 16 and older in Nevada County is now eligible to receive the vaccine. The county has given 64,427 doses as of Thursday.

Cases have continued to climb in the county. There were 4,188 on March 23. That rose to 4,272 by March 30, and 4,361 on April 6. There were 4,418 on April 13.
